Heritage Trail Extension to West John Deere Road Begins

          Work has begun on the Little Maquoketa Mounds parking lot on Highway 3 just north of Heritage Pond. A short but vital trail connector will tie together the West John Deere Road Trail and the Heritage Trail, providing safe passage to the trails at Proving Grounds. A culvert was recently installed, and supplies and machinery are present to begin construction that is to be completed this summer.
